We firmly believe in offering first class extra curricular clubs for our children, to suit a range of talents, abilities and needs. We run these during the lunch hour, during the school day (peripatetic lessons) and after school every day of the week.
Pupils apply for free of charge lunchtime clubs, by signing up in class. After school club leaders and peripatetic teachers write to parents and open booking spaces each half term, via the office. Many of these clubs are heavily subsided and act as a part of our childcare support after school, in addition to our extremely popular after school club.
All of our clubs are considered for part or full funding for pupils who are in receipt of pupil premium. Our Pupil Premium leader, Miss Kruger, makes this decision in partnership with our class teachers to ensure that pupils receive targeted support for the area of need identified as a barrier to learning.
All of our clubs and lessons are ran in accordance with our Covid Risk Mitigation document. Peripatetic lessons are taught 1:1 with a teacher who socially distances from pupils. Any equipment used is cleaned using specialist disinfectant between each pupil. All other clubs are ran in year group bubbles.
