This half term our topic is 'Who are We?'. We learn all about ourselves and our families in this topic, 'Coming to England' which is about a family moving to the UK for a better life. We will focus on writing captions and simple sentences. We also can't wait to take your children on the 'Shepshed Trail' to learn more about our local environment in a practical way!
This half term we will focus on fundamentals and ball skills.
Mrs Lloyd's class have PE on Thursday and Friday.
Miss Brailsford's class PE on Tuesday and Thursday.
Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day.
The children have homework set weekly for reading and spelling. This homework is set on a Monday and will be due the following Monday. All homework will be in home school diaires and sent via WEDUC.
We encourage the children to read at least 3 times weekly, as part of our Regular Readers competition, as well as learning their weekly spellings. Weekly spellings will be tested on a Monday.
We also encourage children to play on Numbots each week to support Maths progress.
A creative task will also be set each half term.
