We hope you had a relaxing and fun half term break! This half term we are continuing our topic ‘Stone Alone’ with a history focus. Our class text is ‘Stig of the Dump’ by Clive King and we will be writing a setting description, recount, letter and narrative. We will be beginning our brand new French unit ‘J’Apprends Le Français (I’m learning French)’ where we will cover how to greet people and learn the numbers to 10. We will be learning all about nutrition and diet in science as well as fitness and and gymnastics in PE.
Miss Holroyd's class have PE on Monday and Thursday.
Miss Lloyd's class have PE on Wednesday and Thursday.
Please ensure your child has joggers and jumper in their PE bag in case we need to go outside for our PE sessions. We do suggest children bringing their PE kit into school all week, as sometimes there are unforeseen changes to timetabling or additional opportunities where children may require their kit on other days.
Please share books or listen to your child read at least three times a week. We also ask that you please record these times in your child's home-school diary so their efforts can be acknowledged and rewarded.
Children will receive weekly spellings on Mondays and tested on the following Monday. These spellings are taught in school during that week by the class teacher.
Children need to practise games on TT Rockstars three times a week.
