Welcome to our final half term together! We are looking forward to our school trip together in June as well as our Sports Day at the end of term.
This half term, our topic is called ‘Bring Me Sunshine’. This is a science-based topic focused on light. We will be learning all about light and dark, reflections, shadows and how light travels from a source. In art we will be exploring shadows and producing shadow puppets.
We ask that parents ensure that P.E kit is in school all week and sent home as required for washing through the term and at the end of a half term. A reminder that we ask that parents send their child with a warm jumper and jogging bottoms for outdoor P.E sessions.
Miss Newton's P.E day is a Wednesday and Mrs McConnell's P.E days are Wednesday and Friday.
Our ‘regular reader’ scheme will be running again this half term so we would really like to see all of Year 3 committing to reading 3 times a week or more at home.
This will now be set on Google Classroom each week. Weekly spellings will continue to be stuck in home school diaries.
