Miss Hawksworth, Mr Pratt and Mrs Wicks are very much looking forward to returning to school and teaching Year 5. We are pleased to announce that we will be introducing some exciting new topics this year: Rainforest Rescue, Shakespearian Summer, Seismic Space, Visionary Victorians and Olympic Odyssey. In addition we are equally excited to introduce our new reading for pleasure initatives. To begin this term we have selected a heart-felt story called Journey to Jo'Burg by Beverely Naidoo.
We look forward to the term ahead and thank you in advance for your continued support to our school community.
We are currently following a whole school Recovery Curriculum plan, focussed on core subjects, to support our pupils as best we can to catch up.
This term, our topic is called 'Rainforest Rescue'. Our work will be based around this topic with a particular focus on The Amazon Rainforest and deforestation. Alongside this, we will be enriching this topic by reading The Explorer by Katherine Rundell alongside various non-fiction texts.

We ask that parents ensure that PE kit is in school all week and sent home as required for washing through the term and at the end of a half term. A reminder that as the weather gets colder, we ask that parents send their child with a warm jumper and jogging bottoms for outdoor PE sessions.
Mr Pratt's class PE Days are: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Mrs Wicks and Miss Hawksworth PE days are: Monday, Thursday and Friday.
