Miss Kruger, Mr Akiens and Mrs Pickering are all glad to be back in the classroom with our lovely Year 6s.
We are so proud of how every single one of you came back to school before Easter – it’s lovely seeing you all face-to-face again! We’ve really hit the ground running and everyone has been working so hard on their learning.
This term, our topic is called ‘Extreme Earth’. This is a geography-based topic, focusing on natural disasters. We will be learning about various natural disasters, including volcanic eruptions, hurricanes and tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Pupils will explore 3D form by making their own volcanoes, as well as studying the art of Jackson Pollock. Our science topic for this half-term is ‘light’, so pupils will be learning how light travels and exploring shadows.
We ask that parents ensure that PE kit is in school all week and sent home as required for washing through the term and at the end of a half term.
Mr Akiens' class PE Days are: Tuesday and Thursday
Miss Kruger and Mrs Pickering's class PE days are: Thursday and Friday
