Miss Kruger, Mr Akiens and Mrs Pickering are excited to share the final few weeks of primary school with you all!
We have some fantastic events and celebrations lined up to send you off in style and recognise your many successes and achievements at Newcroft. We're so proud of each and every one of you and are sure that you will go on to do great things! It has been an absolute pleasure to teach you during your last year in primary school.
This term, our topic is called ‘Extreme Earth’. This is a geography-based topic, focusing on natural disasters. We will be learning about various natural disasters, including volcanic eruptions, hurricanes and tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Pupils will create their own version of The Great Wave by Hokusai, as well as writing some extreme earth themed poetry. Our science topic for this half-term is ‘electricity’, so pupils will be learning about the various components of electrical circuits and using symbols to represent these as diagrams.
We ask that parents ensure that PE kit is in school all week and sent home as required for washing through the term and at the end of a half term.
Mr Akiens' class PE Days are: Tuesday and Thursday
Miss Kruger and Mrs Pickering's class PE days are: Thursday and Friday
